Report: From the Nebraska Democratic Climate Council
The following report is from the Nebraska Democratic Climate Council:
The Nebraska Democratic Climate Council (NDCC) has new leadership this year, with April Thompson as Chair and Ean Rye-Craft as Vice Chair. We’re currently seeking a new Secretary as we continue to rebuild connections and increase engagement by attending monthly county meetings and reaching out to Democrats across the state.
Building on this outreach, the Council is turning its attention toward the 2026 election cycle. We plan to engage candidates at both the state and local levels, emphasizing how climate, energy, and environmental issues shape Nebraska’s communities, economy, and quality of life. Our mission remains clear: to champion bold climate action and environmental justice through democratic engagement—working together to ensure a resilient and sustainable future for all Nebraskans.
