Webinar: Data Centers — A Defining Election Issue in Florida

The Democratic Environmental Caucus of Florida hosted a webinar on the national rise of data centers and the growing threats they pose to Florida's water resources, utility costs, air and water quality, wildlife, and rural communities.

The panel also explored how candidates can effectively campaign on data center issues and the steps elected officials can take to protect their communities.

Panelists: Council Chair Michelle Deatrick; Maily Kocinski, a Wisconsin educator and rural landowner; Judy Freiberg, President of the Democratic Environmental Caucus of Florida; Richard Grosso, environmental attorney and Broward County DECF chapter president; and Reinaldo Diaz, former Lake Worth City Councilmember and current Lake Worth Waterkeeper.
