Two swing seats flipped to blue!
Council Chair Michelle Deatrick campaigned in Pennsylvania to support crucial Get Out the Vote efforts for two swing seats: Sara Agerton, running for Pennsylvania House District 88, and Janelle Stelson, running for Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional District.
Sara Agerton, a longtime social worker and Mechanicsburg Borough Council member, flipped Pennsylvania House District 88 by about 14 points — a seat Democrats had targeted for three consecutive cycles — helping expand their majority in the chamber. Janelle Stelson, a former television news anchor, defeated Republican Rep. Scott Perry in a rematch after narrowly losing to him in 2024, flipping one of the cycle’s most closely watched toss-up races.
