Council Youth Engagement Director Paul Presendieu organized two large phone banks in support of the successful candidacy of Peggy Flanagan for U.S. Senate, representing Minnesota. Peggy Flanagan, as Minnesota’s Lieutenant Governor, helped lead the state’s commitment to 100% carbon-free electricity by 2040.
We are so excited that on November 3, Peggy won her race for U.S. Senate, becoming the first Native American woman ever elected to that body!
As was crystal clear when Peggy spoke at the Council’s St. Louis meeting in 2023, Peggy is a true fighter for our air, water, land and climate, and we look forward to her leadership in DC.
