Hollywood, FL | October 16
On a rainy day, the Broward County Environmental Caucus and Chair Tiffany Grantham didn’t make lemonade out of lemons, but they did make a phone bank out of a canvass.
Council Chair Michelle Deatrick joined the phone bank for two climate champions:Adam Roberti, running for Hollywood City Commission District 5, and Todd Delmay, Democratic candidate for Florida House District 101 — a race key to breaking the Republican supermajority in the Florida House.
Adam Roberti, Executive Director of the Cortada Foundation’s climate art initiatives, ran on stormwater management, cooling shade trees, and lowering utility bills in a city facing serious flooding, extreme heat, and sea-level rise. Todd Delmay ran to flip a seat Democrats are targeting as one of six needed to break the Florida House supermajority. Both won their seats on November 3!
