Earth Month Mobilization

The Council organized our fifth and largest Earth Month Mobilization to date: more than 85 events across 21 states, powered by Democrats at home and abroad. Events included highway and river cleanups, voter engagement at county fairs, candidate forums, and webinars on the issues defining this election — data centers, energy affordability, and how Democrats win on climate. Chair Deatrick joined Secretary Katie Darling and Director of Latino Engagement Manny Crespín at the New Orleans Earth Day Festival, and Vice Chair Howard Chou spoke out against the sell-off of the Boundary Waters. The Young Democrats of America Environmental Caucus held a Youth Climate Summit, the Oregon Environmental Caucus hosted a livestream on data centers, water, and wetlands, and Democrats Abroad carried the movement across borders with an online Earth Rocks concert.

The mobilization was built by the state environmental caucuses, local Democratic Party groups, and the national YDA and Democrats Abroad Environmental Caucuses.
