Chair Deatrick Stands with University of Michigan Nurses

Nurses, union allies, and community members turned out in a powerful show of collective strength and solidarity, joined by Chair Deatrick on the picket line. Members of the University of Michigan Professional Nurse Council (MNA-UMPNC) have been working without a contract since theirs expired March 31. They are fighting for a fair agreement that protects safe staffing and supports both nurses and patients, and protesting alleged unfair labor practices by the university.
