Chair Deatrick Speaks at Duval Environmental Dems Green Future Fair

Chair Deatrick joined the Duval Environmental Democratic Caucus of Florida, led by Dr. Therese Wakefield-Gamble, and partner organizations virtually for the 2nd Annual Duval Green Future Fair in Jacksonville. Deatrick spoke on the Government, Policy and Civic Engagement panel at this community-powered event, "From Contamination to Cultivation: Faith, Family, and Community Solutions for a Sustainable Jacksonville."

Deatrick called for pairing climate action with affordability, pointing to a National Infrastructure Bank and FERC reform as concrete steps, and framed the work as central to Democrats' path to victory in 2026 and beyond: "The issue isn't whether climate is a winning issue, it is — it's whether we show up with an agenda and vision big and transformative enough to meet the scope and scale of the climate crisis as people are living it."
